Dwight Howard, Mortgage Broker Colorado Springs

I’ve always been somewhat of a mentor and enjoy building lasting relationships with people. I think this is one of the reasons I’m so successful as a mortgage broker.

I have a very analytical mind and can examine situations from various angles to come up with the best solutions. My instinct is to help people and educate them so that they can make the best decisions possible when it comes to their home mortgage loans, and their home purchase goals.

I studied Business Administration at Mississippi Valley State University, and then went on to study Organizational Management at Colorado Christian University. This was a natural progression into my Army career.

I served for 12 years in the US Army as a Logistics Specialist. After that I was a Logistics Instructor for the US Army Reserves for several years after leaving active duty.  I learned strong organizational skills, accounting skills, and the ability to keep track of multiple moving parts, which I think shaped my ability to fit puzzles together and help match people to the right loans for their specific circumstances.

I moved to Colorado Springs in 1996 and started my career as a loan originator in 1997. After originating loans for several years, my first management opportunity came while working for RBC Mortgage as a branch manager in 2003. I continued to climb to the top of my field and became the Area Manager/Vice President for several Top 10 lenders in the country.  I helped create retail branches, joint ventures, and marketing service agreements with some of the top real estate companies here in Colorado.

Now with over 17 years of experience in the mortgage industry, service satisfaction is paramount to me. Referrals make up 95% of my business both from past clients and professional contacts.  This means a lot to me. It means that people recognize the dedication, expertise, and commitment I share with my clients.

I am passionate about what I do! I bring that passion to mentoring other mortgage professionals, volunteering with local charities, and spending time with my son.
